In the born genius vide, we watched a little Asian boy that had incredible music skills. He was about six years old and played the piano as a grown adult. When his mother by his mother, she said that ever since she was pregnant, she played classical music for him to listen to. She wanted for her son to be really intelligent. This obviously worked, her son was born genius. Besides being born genius, his mother also pushed him to the best of his abilities so that he could play like he did. He practiced for hours daily and put a lot of effort into it. The little boy also took high school mathematics which made him even more gifted. Through this video it is observed how geniuses can be born, and with the precise amount of time and effort put into things, skills are mastered at a really young age, just like the Asian boy mastered the piano.

Homosexuality
Where does homosexuality come from? Some people say it comes from nature, others say it is nurtured by society. In the past video of homosexuality, scientist observed many twins and their environments. In the twins under observation, one of them was straight, while the other one had “sex nonconformity disorder, where the individual suffering from it is not happy with their sex. These kids are not gay, but are prone to be gay when they grow up and become adults. One of the twins was very masculine; he enjoyed military toys, cars, trucks, action figures, and blue. The other twin was passionate for horses, unicorns, had his nails done, dolls, and pink. The child with sex non- conformity said; “maybe I was originally supposed to be a girl, but my mommy really wanted me to be a boy so I turned into a boy.” This child inside, indeed believed he was to be a girl. This proves that homosexuality can be linked to genetics. Also, It can be said that homosexuality can be nurtured. The mother of the two twins said that when they were two years old, the feminine inclined child really desired a Barbie and she gave it to him. This decision is something that aided to the nurture of that kid into feminine things. Both of the kids grew up in the same environment, the difference was that the mother gave the kids what they asked for, it being for a boy or a girl. They also analyzed other twins, that grew up in completely equal environments, did the same activities and one of them turned out homosexual. In non-twin families, scientists discovered that as a child grows with older brothers, they are more prone to be gay. Through these analysis, it is proved that homosexuality is both nature and nurture.

Criminal Minds:
Why do murderers act the way they do? This question has been argued in whether criminal’s minds are due to nature or nurture. Basically, a criminal's mind is made due to both nature and nurture. It is said by many scientists, that criminal behavior can be inherited. They also say that murderers are made due to damage. Most of the murderers have suffered some kind of brain damage in their life, and this relates to their behavior. Some of these people are abused mentally, and are also physically tortured. Events like these are what lead to brain injury. This kind of behavior is also what nurtures a person to behaving violently; hence they are exposed to violent behavior throughout their life and learn from it. Also, many of the criminal minds in society have a low level of intelligence due to the amount of brain damage they have received. Due to this, is why people say that when someone is hit by their parents, they are more prone to hitting their children. They believe that what they are doing is fine, so they continue doing it without realizing the damage that is being done. Some of the people with criminal minds also come with mental illnesses accompanied by paranoid symptoms. Some people have manic depression and/or bipolar disorders. Throughout the video, we could also observe the case of a criminal that murdered his wife and kids. People say that he was a really tranquil person, but it is believed that many factors can put someone over the edge. Certain events can make a person snap, reacting into violent behavior. In general, a criminal mind is made due to many factors, but most important is brain damage. Brain damage is what causes many of the factors associated with criminal minds, like mental illnesses and low intelligence, but majorly causes violent behavior.
Traumatic Brain Injury:
A Traumatic Brain Injury can be defined as "damage to the brain resulting from external mechanical force such as rapid acceleration, deceleration, impact, blast waves, or penetration by a foreign object." It is believed that a quarter of a million Americans are hospitalized for brain injuries. This type of injury is one of the most dangerous that there can be, thus it causes problems dealing with thinking, processing information, dealing with emotions, short and long term memory, body movement, among others. In a Traumatic Brain Injury, the frontal lobe and temporal lobes are the most susceptible to brain damage; these are the areas that deal with thinking, emotions, memory, etc. There are also three main classifications of brain injuries. One is a Contusion, where bruising of the brain occurs. The second is Diffuse Abnormal Injury, where delicate fibers twist causing damage. The last one is Subdural Hematoma, which is the most common of all brain injuries. In the video, we observed four cases of people that had suffered brain Injuries. These had all occurred through terrible accidents. It was observed how their lives completely changed forever; hence some had problems with memory, while another could barely communicate appropriately. Most important, these people learned how to appreciate their lives better because they were able to survive with such a terrible injury.
Mind Reading:
In the past, people believed that mind reading would be something impossible to achieve. Well that belief has been proven as wrong. Scientists today have developed ways into in which they can guess what a person is thinking according to the chemical action going on in their brains. They tested this using a Magnetic Resonance Image o MRI. The subjects that were being tested had to lie in the machine and had to observe images such as the ones of a hammer or a house. Through the MRI they observed the chemical action and how it was more active in certain parts of the brain when a specific object was observed. The chemical activity was relatively the same among all subjects according to specific objects. Scientists could guess if a person was thinking of a hammer due to what parts of their brain lit up in the imaging. It is believed that this type of "mind reading" is only the beginning, but just the fact that through this they can already guess what you are thinking about is just amazing. In a couple of decades, I believe scientists will be able to decipher complete phrases and maybe even through easier processes, instead of having to use the MRI. Mind Reading will be an innovation for the world in many ways.

The Teenage Brain
After watching the video on the teenage brain, i have realized some important aspects on behavior. Not only my friends' behavior, but my own one. In the video, we saw how teenagers encounter many issues with school, home, dealing with their emotions, and most commonly sleep. the lack of sleep in teenagers causes them to have many problems; they get bad temper, do not pay attention in school, and do not think properly on the decisions they make. They act with a "whatever" kind of attitude. through this stage of life, the frontal, which is in charge of reasoning, planning, etc, is still developing, hence why teenagers have problems with this. Another aspect of the frontal lobe is dealing with emotions. In the teenage years, hormones strike and makes it very difficult for teenagers to understand what they are feeling and how they can express themselves. Many teenagers say "you do not understand me", but in reality it is adults that do not understand because they cannot communicate what they feel and do not know how to deal with it. Most people do not know what kind of help to give, but the most appreciated one; PATIENCE.
