Make Me a Genius

Can a genius be made, or can they only be born? In the video “Make Me a Genius” we observed a woman named Susan, who was a complete genius when it came to playing chess. Everything in her world revolved around chess. She tells her story of when she was a little girl and her father introduced her to the game of chess. Her father was a psychologist and was testing if geniuses could really be made. He made Susan practice daily and taught her everything from the game as he could. They tested Susan by making her do a copy of a game onto another board. She got every piece right, but when making her do a game that did not make any sense, she could not get it right. She obviously understood the game in every field. Through so much learning put into practice, it is obvious, that her father’s hypothesis was proven to be correct; geniuses can be made. Susan became one of the world’s best known chess players. Through constant practice and study geniuses can be made in the areas people desire.
